The UK SQL Server community has grown rapidly in the past few years and the chances are there's a UserGroup or community event happening right near you.

I know of two SQL Saturdays that are running in 2013. SQL Saturday Exeter and SQL Saturday Scotland. I'm thinking of submitting a couple of sessions too but I haven't done that yet

Good call! You might want to get your skates on for SQL Saturday Exeter. I hear (via @FatherJack) session submissions have been coming in fast.

might give SQLSaturday 196 (Denmark) a go.  Its actually cheaper and quicker for me to get there from east anglia than getting to exeter or edinburgh.

The way travel works in the UK does not make sense at the best of times so those costs unfortunately don't surprise me. Denmark sounds like a very interesting opportunity.

Hi John,

Just an observation - I subscribe to the google calendar, but I've noticed that there are a quite a few events up on sqlserverfaq.com that aren't in the calendar.  Who maintains it?  Your good self I imagine? (in amongst everything else...  :o )

Thanks.

Funnily enough I was just looking at the Calendar this morning chap. It does indeed require an update. It's something I maintain, although I do encourage the respective UG leaders to manage their own event details (some have access to do so) should they wish,  in an effort to make it more scalable/manageable. Always on the look out for community contributors/volunteers to help out of course  :D

Thanks for pointing it out!
